Peter Mathias 

Principal of Centre for Arab-West Understanding Learning Centre 

Story

Peter Mathias is educated and practised as a teacher, Deputy Principal and Principal in a number of schools in UK. In 1994, he was invited to join The Office for Standards in Education (Ofsted) as part of Her Majesty's Inspectorate. Peter led the Inspection of over 550 schools in UK. He also worked as a consultant to help schools in need of improvement in UK and abroad. He worked for KHDA and ADEC in UAE as a visiting inspector and trainer of local school evaluators. He visited Libya to advise the government on best practice in School Evaluation, and Kenya and Zambia to evaluate the work of The British Council. In 2017, he was invited to improve an unsatisfactory international school in Cairo. In 2019, he became The Academic Director and lead for School Improvement and Quality Assurance in a group of 240 schools across Pakistan. At the moment, he is supporting the Center for Arab-West Understanding Learning Centre in the process of becoming the best refugee school of Egypt.
