Martin Orbidans

Martin is a professional musician who played for 5 years in the Royal Yacht Britannia. He formed a choir made-up of CAWU’s students in only two months and this choir then performed at a church in Cairo on December 23, 2020. Through his teaching, he proves that studying can be a lot of fun.

"I came across the CAWU learning centre in 2018 after deciding to spend a few months in Maadi after a long career working as a concert piano performer. In 2020 many concerts in the UK I was expected to participate in, were cancelled due to the covid-19 pandemic. It felt right to start working in October 2020 towards helping teach music slowly at first but as things seemed to be pointing more and more in the direction of doing more, it felt very nice. Almost a vocational work began. Now it’s a rollercoaster of fun... and I didn’t return to the UK".
